The women’s tuxedo trend is something of a drawn out affair, way back in 2008 celebrities started donning the look, now in 2011 we’re seeing the trend make a dramatic comeback , as celebrities such as soul singer Janelle Monae, however in 2011 the trend is rapidly evolving. The woman’s tuxedo has been bridging the gender gap for years, thanks to Yves Saint Laurent who gave birth to female tuxedo’s as a 1960′s fashion trend. This fashion statement has become a staple of female fashion, a protest against male domination mixed with mischief, seduction and femininity.
